Our Story & Purpose
Why We Started RAColor
When digital sensors took over commercial and editorial sets, turnaround deadlines accelerated dramatically. Yet digital RAW files often felt sterile—flat contrast, harsh digital greens, and clinical skin tones.
We started RAColor in 2018 to solve this for ourselves. We spent hundreds of hours in the studio shooting identical setups on real film cameras alongside modern Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, and Leica bodies. By profiling real optical curves, color balances, and shadow densities, we created editing styles that give you the look of authentic analogue film in seconds.
